- Which perfume format suits you best?
The difference between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette lies in the amount of perfume concentrate mixed with alcohol. Eau de Parfum contains 15-20% odorous substances in 80-85% alcohol. Eau de Toilette contains 8-15% aromatic elements dissolved in 85-92% alcohol. However, there is currently no law governing a designation based on its concentration. These are simply guidelines.
What is the difference between perfume and eau de toilette?
Perfume, other definition Perfume extract – is a perfumery product based on alcohol and fragrant substances of natural origin. Perfumes are characterized by a high content of essential oils (15-30% or more) dissolved in almost pure alcohol (96%). This recipe makes the fragrance of the perfume very persistent. Typically, the skin retains the fragrance of the perfume for up to 5 hours. And perfumed clothes remain scented for up to 36 hours, retaining a light perfume flavor until the first wash.
Perfumes can be summarized into two categories:
- Plant-based – these are extracted from flower petals, plant roots, fruit trees, and young leaves. They make up the majority of flavored products;
- Animal origin – more expensive. They are used to add longevity and depth to the composition. The most famous of this group are ambergris and musk; The eau de parfum we develop are VEGAN and therefore not of animal origin.
Eau de toilette is not an intense perfume product. Its perfume content does not exceed 10%.
The main characteristic of this eau de toilette is its light fragrance. Its simplicity and lack of long lasting scent make it perfect for the warmer seasons. It's also ideal for refreshing yourself.
What is the difference between perfume and eau de parfum?
Eau de parfum is less intense than perfume. Its fragrance content does not exceed 10-20% and the alcohol concentration is 80-90%. The scent of eau de parfum is not as intense, but it can retain its fragrance on the skin for 3 to 4 hours. Due to its lighter concentration, eau de parfum is often referred to as a "daytime perfume."
Eau parfumée is the most popular perfumery product. It's a matter of value for money. Although the amount of odorants is lower than in perfumes, the fragrance retains a complex opening pyramid and a delightful trail.
The benefits of perfume
As you already know, perfume is the most concentrated perfumery product. The concentration of essential oils they contain can be up to 40% (depending on the brand). The scent will be long-lasting and intense, with strong base notes.
Perfumes have a strong smell, so they are used mainly in the evening or for festive occasions.
The long-lasting scent lasts up to 6 hours on the skin, making the perfume very economical to use.
The benefits of perfume:
- Progressive deployment of the olfactory pyramid
- luxurious olfactory notes
- Long-term use
- Exclusive
Why choose an eau de toilette?
The very definition, eau de toilette, suggests its use for freshness. The lightness of this fragrance makes it suitable for the office and anywhere a rich, tangy scent should be avoided. If you like to be scented and refreshed every few hours, then eau de toilette is your ideal choice.
Perfume brands often offer the same fragrance in different formats – parfum, eau de parfum, and eau de toilette. This allows you to choose the format of your perfume to suit each occasion.
The benefits of eau de toilette:
- Suitable for all occasions
- Gives a feeling of freshness
- Generally less expensive.
Why choose an eau de parfum?
Eau de parfum is the most popular product in brand collections, for both men and women. Thanks to its composition, Eau de Parfum remains accessible to many fragrance connoisseurs, while preserving the full range of the olfactory pyramid. The fragrance process unfolds more quickly than a perfume, yet remains smooth enough to capture all the desired notes.
The benefits of scented water:
- Preservation of the olfactory palette
- The most common product of niche brands
- Lasts on skin for up to 4 hours
